1. Tap the red camera button at the bottom.
2. Hold your phone flat over the album page so all the photos are in the picture.
3. Wait until every photo has a frame, then tap the shutter button.
4. Turn the page and scan the next one. When you’re finished, tap “Done”.

Tip: Photos turn out best in even daylight without shadows.

No. You photograph the whole album page, Albumbox finds every photo on it and saves each one separately.

Hold your phone a bit higher so the whole album page is in the picture, and make sure the light has no shadows.

If photos are very close together, the app sometimes sees them as one. Then drag the corners of each photo yourself after scanning, or switch the camera to “Single”.

First wipe your phone’s camera lens clean. It’s often slightly smudged.

Make sure there’s good light, ideally daylight from a window. Hold your phone steady and wait a moment after tapping.

If a plastic sleeve over the photo reflects, tilt your phone a little until the bright spot disappears.

Your photos and albums are kept in Albumbox on your phone.

Only when you share an album is it also stored with us, so others can view it through the link. If you delete the link, this copy is deleted too.

Important: If you delete the app, the photos in Albumbox are gone too. Save important albums to Photos or your gallery first.

Open an album, tap “Share” at the bottom and then “Save album to Photos”. This puts the whole album in Photos (iPhone) or your gallery (Android). For single photos, first tap “Select”, choose the photos, then tap “Share” and “Save to Photos”.

Saving is part of Albumbox Plus.

Scanning, creating albums and browsing them are free and unlimited. Your scans always stay in the app, even without Plus.

With Plus you can save photos and whole albums to Photos or your gallery, share albums as a link with family and friends, and turn them into PDF photo books.

Open the settings in Albumbox and tap “Manage or cancel subscription”. You go straight to your subscriptions in the iPhone settings or on Google Play.

Plus stays active until the end of the paid period. If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing.

Sign in with the same Apple or Google account and tap “Restore purchases” in the settings.

Open the album, tap “Share” at the bottom and then “Share album”. Albumbox creates a link you can send on WhatsApp, by email or by text message to family, friends or anyone you like.

To share, you need a free account and Albumbox Plus.

No. Whoever gets the link simply opens it on their phone or computer, with no app and no sign-up. They can view and download all the photos there.

As long as you have Albumbox Plus and don’t delete the link. If you delete the link, the photos are deleted from our server too.

“Repair” removes scratches, tears, dust and stains. “Refresh colors” adds color to black-and-white photos and makes faded colors strong again. You’ll find both in the photo under “Restore”.

1 credit per photo and action. When you start Albumbox Plus, we give you 3 credits, and you can top up more in the app. If something doesn’t work or a photo has hardly any damage, you get the credit back.

Yes. Every edit creates a new version. Under “Versions” you can go back to the original at any time.

Only that one photo is sent encrypted to our service provider, who does the editing. Afterwards it’s deleted there and on our side. Before the first time, we ask you in the app.

Not for scanning. You only need a free account if you want to share albums or top up credits.

In Albumbox under Settings, “Delete my data”. This deletes your account and all shared albums on our server. The albums on your phone stay.
